We are Tiger + Man

Based in Brooklyn, NY, Tiger + Man is an electro-acoustic collaboration between Austin-raised, Tiger Darrow and South African-born Andrew Orkin. Both award winning composers and songwriters, Darrow and Orkin met in 2012 and collaborated on both commercial and passion projects before creating a cohesive sound that they felt best represented their artistic corner in the music industry.

Tiger + Man's debut, self-titled EP was written, produced and engineered by Tiger Darrow and Andrew Orkin at Fall On Your Sword's recording facility in Brooklyn, NY. It was later mixed by Grammy Award Winner, Scott Jacoby (Vampire Weekend, Jose James, John Legend) at Eusonia Studios, and mastered by Grammy Nominated Emily Lazar (David Bowie, The Foo Fighters, Bjork) of The Lodge.

Living and working in New York means being surrounded by artists across every medium and Tiger + Man decided to use every visual aspect of the project as an opportunity for artistic collaboration.

Five artists, hailing from Johannesburg, Cape Town, New York and Texas created artworks inspired by the the album, with the only consistent element being the Tiger + Man logo. Artists Joe Voysey, Alexdra Karakashian, Jason Stallings, Deanna Smith and Liona Nyariri's visually delve into the contrasting elements of the EP.

Tiger + Man has three separate music videos in post-production. Each of the three videos are completely varied in style, genre and medium, including avant-garde performance art, a collaboration between dance and lighting as well as a stop-motion animation.

Directors Mike DonagheyJustin Scholar and Colin Marchon each bring something truly unique to the visual embodiment of the music, and the videos will be ready for release in November, 2015.
